Protests continue in different areas of Lahore despite call-off by TLYR

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Despite Tehreek-e-Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYR) announcement to end sit-in at Faizabad interchange, protest outside Punjab Assembly in Lahore is still ongoing on Monday.

The protesters are also present at Shahdhara, Thokar Niaz Baig, Kahna, Gajju Mata. Due to the sit-in, Mall Road is closed for traffic while people are facing immense problems.

Meanwhile, all the private and government educational institutions across Punjab are closed whereas lawyer fraternity is observing strike against Islamabad operation.

Many trader organizations have also announced a strike due to which Liberty, Shah Almi market, Ichra and other markets have been shut down.

Moreover, many petrol pumps in the provincial capital are also closed creating a fuel shortage and problems for commuters.
