PM Abbasi chairs meeting to review situation after Faizabad operation
The meeting is reviewing different options to end sit-in protest in Faizabad.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A high-level consultative meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is underway in Islamabad to discuss prevailing situation in the country after operation against sit-in protestors in Islamabad.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Naveed Mukhtar, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, other ministers and senior officials are present in the meeting, sources told.

During the meeting, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal briefed the participants on operation against protestors. The meeting is reviewing different options to end sit-in protest in the light of Islamabad High Court (IHC) order.
The participants also discussed requisition of armed forces in aid of the civil power under Article 245 of the Constitution.
