Parts of Balochistan receive first winter rain
Rain was reported in Taftan, Dalbandin, Naukandi and other areas near Pak-Iran border on Sunday.
QUETTA (Dunya News) - Different parts of Balochistan province including Taftan, Chaghai, Nokundi and other areas near Pak-Iran border received first winter rain on Sunday night, providing much needed relief from the dry weather.
The rain caused flash floods in the hilly areas of the province. Lightning also struck a house in Taftan, however, no loss of life was reported.
On the other hand, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain in Karachi division today (Monday) and also predicted rain in parts of Punjab tomorrow. Dense smog covering the plains of Punjab for the past many days is also expected to be reduced due to rain.
