Pakistanis can now apply online for passport renewal. The long awaited service for passport renewal has been introduced by the interior ministry which will allow Pakistanis to apply for passport renewal online.
Few months back, online passport renewal service was initiated for Pakistanis living abroad. Now native Pakistanis can also use the service using e-service portal.
The portal started its services today. It can be used to apply for renewal of Machine Readable Passports if the passport has expired or its validity is less than seven months.
When processed, the passports will be sent to the location given by the applicant within 10 days. An urgent renewal is processed in four days. According to website, the online application procedure takes about 16 minutes.
Online passport renewal requirements:
1: Supporting documents.
2: Photograph upto 5 MB as explained in the photograph tutorial.
3: Fingerprints
4: Valid credit card/debit card for online payment of application.
