PPP to display political power in Hyderabad on 10th anniversary of Karsaz incident

HYDERABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is Wednesday all set to display its political power in Hyderabad on the 10th anniversary of Karsaz bombing incident that killed more than 150 people.
The public gathering will be held at Hatri bypass in Hyderabad, and all preparations have been finalized. The stage has been formed at the venue and pictures of party leaders are displayed. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address his workers to boost their spirits.
It is worth mentioning here that the Karsaz incident occurred on October 18, 2007 when the then PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan after 9-year self-exile.
Just few hours after landing, Bhutto’s homecoming rally was hit by twin blasts when her motorcade reached the Karsaz intersection on Shahrah-e-Faisal. Bhutto remained unharmed in the attack, but more than 150 including women and children died, and hundreds sustained injuries.
PPP also arranged a ceremony on the incident place in Karsaz late night to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attack. The workers laid flowers, lit candles on the monument and expressed their views.
