Tomato prices reach Rs200-300 per kg
Consumers are complaining that price control committee is also doing nothing to control the rates.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The prices of tomato continue to surge as its rates have gone to Rs200-300 per kilogram, and five kg tomatoes are being sold for Rs1000.
People are worried due to the high rates of tomatoes, a necessary kitchen ingredient, and many of them are returning home empty handed as they cannot afford to buy them.
The consumers are complaining that price control committee is also doing nothing in this regard and are afraid that the rates of tomatoes, which are already higher than chicken, will rise further if no action is taken by the administration.
