Karachi: Nazimabad residents protest against water theft

Locals of Nazimabad blocked the road and burnt the tyres against water theft and unavailability of water in the area.

The protesters were dispersed after the assurance of police officials to take action against the thieves.Residents of Jalal Abad and Orang Abad near Bus Stop No 2 in Nazimabad staged a protest against the theft of water pipelines and disruption of water supply to the area for last 6 months.The traffic of SITE road was suspended creating troubles for the commuters. Police officials reached the spot and assured the protesters to take action against the thieves. After this assurance, they called of their strike.
