Strongly oppose Imran's early election demand: Siraj

Dunya News

Accepting a disqualified person as party head against the spirit of the constitution, says JI chief

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Siraj ul-Haq has on Monday strongly opposed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s demand for an early election. He also added that accepting a person disqualified by Supreme Court as your party head was against the spirit of the constitution and an act against the decision of the apex court, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media after JI’s working committee’s meeting at Mansoora, the JI head said that the party opposed Imran Khan’s early election demand as they didn’t want the government to become political martyrs.

The JI chief also said that the amendments forwarded by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) were entirely in violation of the entire election reforms.

Siraj ul-Haq said that there should be no ties with India if it didn’t get out of Kashmir. The senator appealed to all Islamic countries to oust Myanmar ambassadors from their countries.
