Nouman said the communications took place for a dignified purpose.

(Web Desk) - Pakistani-American preacher Nouman Ali Khan has urged for a ‘theatre-free environment’ to probe accusations against him of having inappropriate relations with women.

In a facebook post, Nouman Ali Khan wrote “As I made clear in my statement I believe the interactions in question were based on mutual consent and there was no questionable intent behind them. If there are parties who feel otherwise and feel victimized, I am ready and willing to listen to them.”

The CEO, founder, and lead instructor of Bayyinah Institute continued, “Many rumors surrounded that event and I chose to remain silent to protect my children more than anyone else. After the passage of some time I did in fact pursue remarriage with the help of my family.”

He said these communications took place for a dignified purpose. Yet these are the communications that are being alleged as predatory.

Earlier, Omer M. Mozaffar, who was Nouman Ali Khan’s friend of twenty years and was also working on a case regarding him, said that he confessed of having inappropriate interactions with various women, violating agreed-upon bounds of Islamic law.

He also told lies to cover up those relationships, and filed threats of litigation against multiple parties to further hide his misconduct, Mozaffar wrote.

“I had the responsibility to determine when he would be ready to speak again. I gave him an exception, allowing him to post previously recorded lectures, so long as they were not about marriage or gender matters,” he continued.
