ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Wednesday rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) request to discontinue party’s foreign funding case and directed it to submit entire details of accounts by September 7.

PTI counsel Anwar Masood had request ECP for discontinuation of the case that was filed by Akbar S. Babar till the verdict of Supreme Court (SC), as a similar case is being heard in the apex court also, and ECP is a respondent in that.

The case in ECP was heard by a five-member bench headed by the chief election commissioner (CEC) Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan. CEC made it clear in the short order that it is last chance for PTI to submit the details pertaining to party’s funding.
