Monsoon devastation: 81 dead, 125 injured, 120 houses ruined
Rains brought devastation to all four provinces, FATA and Azad Kashmir, NDMA says 81 dead
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has on Thursday told that 81 people have died due to the devastation brought by the monsoon while 125 have died and 120 houses have been ruined in FATA, Azad Kashmir and all four provinces, reported Dunya News.
Most of the devastation was recorded in Punjab, Balochistan, FATA and Kashmir. According to NDMA report, 46 people died in the first spell of monsoon from June 26 and July 7. Out of them, 11 people died in Punjab, 5 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 6 in Sindh, 15 in Balochistan, 9 in Kashmir and FATA while overall 63 people died and 61 houses destroyed.

During the second spell starting from July 10, 35 people have died so far. In this spell, 60 people have been injured while two dozens of houses were partly or completely destroyed.
