Nawaz Sharif would not have seen this day if resigned earlier: PTI leaders
PTI commended the JIT members for conducting the probe competently.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar and Shafqat Mehmood on Wednesday reiterated the party’s demand from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign from office.
Asad Umar said that the premier would not have been in this situation if he had resigned 15 months before.
“The PM would have to resign now. They showed resistance in the matter but it would have been better for him if he had step down under his own will,” he said.
He pronounced that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s confessional statement regarding money laundering came out to be true. He asked Dar to ponder whether he is eligible to remain the minister after all the revelations.
“Ishaq Dar spoke the truth in his confessional statement whereas the JIT also found his statements accurate in their probe. Why don’t you speak the truth and get out of all this mess. Your statements are only dignifying Imran Khan,” said Umar.

Umar notified that Britain’s forensic company declared the documents submitted by Sharif family ‘fake’. While speaking about the Calibri font issue, he taunted that it needs intelligence to commit fraudulent act.
He commended the JIT members for standing up against the corruption and conducting the probe competently.
Shafqat Mehmood also joined the criticism and said that the statements of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders suggest as if the entire world is conspiring against them.
He suggested that Ishaq Dar was furious with the Sharif family over leaving him in tough times and travelling to Saudi Arabia. Mehmood blamed PM Nawaz Sharif of not cooperating with JIT.
“Nawaz Sharif said in the probe that he had only heard about Hassan owns a property. How come he doesn’t know anything about the ownership of properties by his children abroad? The premier was confused while giving statements before the JIT,” he said.
