Sharjeel Memon challenges Ch Nisar to include Hussain Nawaz's name in ECL
Memon alleged that NAB chairman and Chaudhary Nisar are puppets of Nawaz Sharif.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former provincial information minister Sharjeel Memon on Tuesday has challenged the Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar to include Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz’s name in the Exit Control List (ECL).
Talking to media after the hearing of corruption reference in Accountability Court, the former minister said that Nawaz Sharif and his family are ruling the country. He alleged that opposition leaders are being named in minor cases for no reason.
My name was entered in the ECL when there was no case against me, he added.
Sharjeel Memon further asked Chaudhary Nisar to become guarantor or put Hussain Nawaz’s name in the ECL so that he won’t be able to leave the country during Panama Leaks case.
He said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman and Chaudhary Nisar are puppets of Nawaz Sharif as they can’t move without his directives.
On the other hand, Hussain Nawaz has once again appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) at the Federal Judicial Academy to record his statement.
The apex court had rejected Nawaz’s reservations and stated that no member of the JIT, constituted to probe Sharif family’s offshore assets, would be altered.
The apex further directed Panamagate JIT to continue probe as per law and reiterated to take the much hyped case to its logical end.
