Met Office predicts hot, dry weather in major parts of country

Met office has directed the people to avoid unnecessary exit from the house.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, light rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Malakand divisions, upper FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, very hot weather conditions are likely to prevail in Sindh, South Balochistan and South Punjab.

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Met office has directed the people to avoid unnecessary exit from the house.

Temperature in Karachi is likely to reach 42 degrees as the sea breeze has been replaced by warm winds. The areas in inner Sindh and south Balochistan are also reeling under intense heat whereas the mercury will probably take the 41 degrees spot in Hyderabad and adjoining cities.

The weather of Punjab turned pleasant before after cool winds blew in the city however; the province is once again facing a surging temperature.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Monday morning:

Islamabad 15°C, Lahore 23°C, Karachi 27°C, Peshawar 19°C, Quetta and Murree 11°C, Gilgit 10°C and Muzaffarabad 15°C.
