Raza Rabbani returns to Senate after PM's assurance
Talks between govt, Senate Chairman successful, Ishaq Dar says Rabbani took back his decision
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani has on Saturday withdrawn his resignation after successful talks with the government, reported Dunya News.
Raza Rabbani had tendered his resignation as the chairman of the senate yesterday upon te high absenteeism of the government members and ministers. However, Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar went to him today with Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s assurance of better conduct in the future.
Ishaq Dar told the media that Rabbani had withdrawn his decision after PM’s assurance that the ministers will be present in the future Senate sessions.
