Unscheduled load-shedding in Karachi irks citizens
Citizens spent a sleepless night as several localities on Karachi remained in darkness during night.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – With the rise in temperature, unscheduled load-shedding has been intensified in Karachi and power remains shut down for hours in several localities of the city, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
Several areas of Karachi, including Gulshan Iqbal, Shah Faisal, Landhi, Korangi, Malir Rafa-e-Aama Colony, Malir Model Colony and Gulistan Johar were badly hit by this unscheduled load-shedding.
Citizens spent a sleepless night as these localities remained in darkness throughout the night on Thursday.
According to K-Electric spokesperson, several feeders tripped in the city due to sudden increase in demand of electricity. He further said that electricity was also affected due to low pressure of gas.
On the other hand, a spokesman of Sui Southern Gas Company said that there is no decrease in gas pressure as 20mmcfd of gas was added in the supply.
