Sharjeel Memon gets interim bail in two corruption cases

Sharjeel Memon is facing corruption allegations worth five billion and 77 crore rupees.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday has approved interim bail of former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon in two cases over surety bonds of Rs 20 lac each.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon is facing corruption allegations worth five billion and 77 crore rupees while he had announced to face all the charges.

Talking to media, Sharjeel Memon said that reference was made in his absence whereas some politicians are declaring the matter as deal.

He further criticized Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and said that he has taken Exit Control List (ECL) as his property.

Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC) had granted a 15-day protective bail to Sharjeel Memon over surety bond of two million rupees.

It is pertinent here to mention here that Sharjeel Memon was detained by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) immediately after his plane coming from Dubai landed at the Islamabad airport.

However, the authorities released him after interrogation.
