104 Indian fishermen sent to Karachi jail

These fishermen were arrested by PMSA on the charge of illegally fishing in waters of Pakistan.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Civil Judge South Salman Mujahid’s court has on Monday sent 104 Indian fishermen to Karachi jail who were presented by Docks Police, reported Dunya News.

According to details, these fishermen were arrested by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) on Saturday on the charge of illegally fishing within the territorial sea limits of Pakistan.

104 Indian fishermen were arrested by PMSA and 19 wooden boats were seized from them. After the incident, security of maritime borders has been tightened further.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan released 219 captured Indian fishermen as a goodwill gesture back in January.
