Karachi: Ex-MQM leader Saleem Shahzad presented in ATC
Saleem Shahzad said that leaders of Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) are 'kids'.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Saleem Shahzad has been presented before Karachi’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) today (Tuesday).
According to details, the accused was taken to the court amid high security for the hearing of various cases against him including providing medical facilities to terrorists.
Talking to media, Saleem Shahzad said that leaders of Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) are ‘kids’.
When I was in politics, they (PSP workers) were not even in the party, he added.
Earlier on Monday, the leader was taken into custody upon his arrival at Karachi airport from Dubai.
Saleem Shahzad has been accused of his escape from the country on fake identity card in 1990s. He was also declared as proclaimed offender in Dr Asim case.
Ex-MQM leader expressed satisfaction over the judicial system in Pakistan and said that he will face all the charges against him.
Meanwhile, chief of Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) Mustafa Kamal said that Saleem Shahzad has no link with the party. He said there is still a scary voice behind MQM.
