Session of Sindh Assembly has been adjourned until Monday

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah has branded non-implementation of pact over water distribution a conspiracy of the federation while he vowed on Friday that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would not let Kala Bagh Dam get constructed.

Acting Speaker of Sindh Assembly, Shehla Raza presided over a session today that witnessed a discussion over pact regarding water distribution that was signed in 1991. Both the opposition and the government benches criticised Government of Punjab the federation for alleged non-implementation.

MPA Sikandar claimed that former army chief Ayub Khan sold off three rivers and that the sea has taken over at least 22 lac acres land of Sindh. MPA Syed Sardar Ahmed of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) called for a joint stance of the opposition and the government in the issue.
