Intermittent drizzle, thick clouds intensify cold wave in country

Met office has predicted new spell of rain till Thursday.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A new spell of rain begun in the country on Tuesday after which various areas continue to receive intermittent drizzle.

Clouds have hovered the cities of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura and Gujranwala whereas snowfall has commenced on the mountains.



Met office has predicted new spell of rain till Thursday.

Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Murree received light rain in the morning which enhanced the coolness in the weather.



Rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at a number of places in Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Islamabad, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir while at isolated places in upper Sindh.



Rainfall recorded during last 12 hours:

Dir 35mm, Quetta 29mm, Parachinar 20mm, Dir 13mm, Chitral 12mm, Saidu Sharif 10mm, Zhob and Peshawar 4mm.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Tuesday morning was:

Islamabad 11°C, Lahore 10°C, Karachi 15°C, Peshawar 12°C, Quetta and Gilgit 5°C, Murree 3°C and Muzaffarabad 8°C.

Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperatures:

Skardu -09°C, Parachinar -07°C, Kalat, Malamjabba, Gupis -06°C, Astore, Bagrote -03°C.
