Panama Leaks case should not have ran in the court for so long, he complained

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has urged the Supreme Court (SC) to hold hearings of Panama Leaks case against the premier’s family on daily basis.

Khan addressed the media in Bani Gala and criticised the premier and his government.

Imran Khan endorsed Chaudhry Nisar’s stance of appointment of Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) through the court.

Khan said that Panama Leaks case would decide whether Pakistan is to become a real democratic state or a country ruled by the mafia. He said that the case was a very important development in the history of Pakistan.

However, Panama Leaks case should not have ran in the court for so long, he complained.

Khan said that it was clear that the premier lied in the National Assembly (NA) and in the Supreme Court. The truth is Nawaz Sharif transferred the controversial sum of funds through money laundering, Khan alleged.

Chairman of PTI opposed plea bargains of NAB with criminals and demanded the Chairman of NAB to resign.

He said that had NAB done its job, the country would not have been corruption-ridden. While answering a question, Khan said that PML-N would be able to cater to its interests if Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) were made subordinate to the government.

Khan announced to move to court against government’s decision to make regulatory authorities subordinate to the ministries.

PTI chief criticised Khawaja Asif, Defence Minister’s nuclear threat to Israel over fake news.
