Govt issues notification to deregulate CNG sector
The decision to deregulate the CNG sector was made in meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – At last the efforts of All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) association have paid off as Ministry of Petroleum has issued a notification for the deregulation of the CNG sector.
It is pertinent to mention that the decision to deregulate the CNG sector was made in meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee.
In an interview with Dunya News, Chairman APCNGA Ghyas Paracha has revealed that an environment of competition has been developed in this sector after the government decision and which will ultimately benefit the public.
He also expressed that now every CNG station will regulate prices by itself.
Experts are of the opinion that owing to the new decision, CNG prices in distant areas will get cheaper in distant areas and higher in cities.
