Civil Hospital Quetta tragedy: Inquiry report submitted in SC
Commission headed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa recorded statements of 33 witnesses.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – An inquiry commission constituted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to investigate Civil Hospital Quetta tragedy has submitted its report in the apex court on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
The commission headed by a Supreme Court judge, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, completed the investigation in 27 days during which statements of 33 witnesses were recorded.
The commission also got in-camera briefing from police, ISI, National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan (NACTA) and defence ministry officials while several sealed written statements were also handed over to the inquiry commission.
At least 78 people were killed, including 50 lawyers, and over 40 more were wounded in a suicide blast at the Civil Hospital Quetta on August 8.
