Saleem Mandviwalla has accused PIA CEO to sell an airplane to germany without asking government

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has decided to submit an attention notice in Senate on the matter of plane sold by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to germany, reported Dunya News.

Senator Saleem Mandviwalla has accused the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIA Bernd Hildenbrand, on Wednesday, of selling a PIA airplane worth million dollars to germany for just Rs 53 lac. He went on to say that no tender or government permission was taken before making the deal.

The senator demanded an inquiry and that a case should be registered against the current PIA CEO with respect to the matter.

The PPP leader professed that the sold aircraft had the ability to fly and was given a flight certificate also. “The market value of PIA plane PK-310 is over a million dollars, but it was sold for just a few million rupees”, the senator commented on the issue.

Furthermore, Mandviwalla questioned that since the respective PIA plane was sent to Malta for shooting of an Israeli movie, will the Israel allow its plane to be used for a Kashmiri movie to Pakistan?
