Some serious questions that need to be answered regarding PK-661 crash

The tragic crash of PK-661 has raised many questions which are required to be addressed urgently.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The shocking crash of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight PK-661 causing deaths of all 47 persons on board, including religious scholar Junaid Jamshed and Chitral DCO, has raised eyebrows. The plane took off from Chitral and was scheduled to reach Islamabad when it lost communication during flight, reported Dunya News on Wednesday.

The crash took place near Havelian, Abbottabad. In the initial inquiry , it was revealed that the plane PK-661 had three flights that day which raises many questions.


Q1: Is it allowed to fly a plane three times a day?


Q2: Did the accident occurred due to the over usage of plane?


Q3: After every flight, are the duty engineers bound to carry out standard inspection of the plane?


Q4: Are the checkup certifications handed out in a formal manner?


Q5: Is there some sort of resting period for a plane after its arrival from a flight?


Q6: While plane inspection and maintenance, is the international standard of procedure kept in conscious?


Q7: If the plane’s engine was fit for flight then why was it unable to reach the destination on the way?


Q8: Is the runway visible to aircraft from thirty seven nautical miles?


There are many more questions that need to be answered, however, sufferings of the relatives who died in the tragic accident cannot be healed. Earlier, according to the sources, it was revealed that the PIA staff had issued a fitness certificate for the flight PK-661 before it took off.
