Religious parties condemn amendments in blasphemy laws

Religious parties of the country on Friday staged protest across the country to condemn the amendments in the blasphemy laws, Dunya news reported.In Karachi, JUI, JUP, Jamat-e-Islami and other religious parties staged a protest and blocked the roads from Nimaish Chowrangi to Jamia Hanoori. While in Lahore protesters marched from Regal Chowk to Punjab Assembly. Former Jamat-e-Islami Ameer Qazi Hussian Ahmed while addressing in Peshawar said that no one can make amendments in blasphemy laws. He said Pakistan is an Islamic country and all the laws should be according to Islam.
