CTD seizes weapons used in Amjad Sabri's killing
Late qawwal Amjad Sabri was gunned down in June
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has recovered weapons on Thursday used in late qawwal, Amjad Sabri’s killing which were in possession of accused killers, Ishaq alias Bobby and Asim alias Capri.
The law enforcers visited the attack site today where Sabri was martyred in June earlier this year and the killers identified the routes they had taken to escape.
Reportedly, both the culprits were interrogated by CTD during which it was revealed that they had executed several target killings in 2015 across Karachi.
In an attack on Rangers in Ittehad Town, a rickshaw driver named Arshad was revealed to be involved who according to Capri and Bobby, parted ways after which both of them put together their separate group.
Meanwhile, it was reported that forensic tests of the weapons recovered that were used in late qawwal’s killing were completed.
The two miscreants were nabbed by CTD earlier this week in a raid in Liaquatabad area after which a press conference addressed by the Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah confirmed their involvement in Sabri s killing and attack on Military Police (MP) among at least 28 cases.
Amjad Sabri was gunned down in June as he travelled by car from his residence to a television studio for a Ramzan transmission.
