Unofficial results: PPP wins PS-11 Shikarpur by-election
PPP candidate Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh secured 36,200 votes to win PS-11 Shikarpur by-election.
SHIKARPUR (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) won the by-election in the Sindh Assembly constituency PS-11 Shikarpur on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
According to unofficial results, PPP candidate Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh secured 36,200 votes to win PS-11 Shikarpur by-election. Nasir Khalid Mehmood Soomro of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) remained runners up after bagging 27,400 votes.
At least 105 polling stations were set up for 135,435 registered voters in the constituency for the by-election. Tight security arrangements were made to maintain law and order situation in the constituency.
