PM said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) chose martyrdom instead of surrendering against oppression
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday that Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) life is a role model for humanity as he sacrificed his life and family for Islam.
In his message, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on this day, we will have to shun our sectarian, ethnic and provincial differences, inculcating equality, harmony, discipline and the traits of sacrifice in ourselves.
He said Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) gave the world a lesson that freedom is a fundamental right in accordance with the true spirit of Islam.
PM said that Ashura Muharram reminds us of Karbala and gives whole world a lesson that independence is the basic right of everyone.
He said that everyone will have to forget all differences on this day and should promote brotherhood, harmony, peace, unity, faith, discipline and sacrifice on this day, because Pakistan was also created for these purposes.
