LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistani forces have captured an Indian soldier who “inadvertently” crossed the Line of Control the same day India claimed of carrying out a “surgical strike few kilometers inside Pakistani territory and eliminating terrorists.”

As stated by India media, the soldier belonged to 37 Rashtriya Rifles and was captured by security forces of Pakistan after he ‘unintentionally moved across the Line of Control.’

The Indian news agency stated that the arrest was made at around 01:30pm.

It has also been claimed that Indian Director General of Military Operations, Lt General Ranbir Singh has informed Pakistani counterpart about the arrest over the hotline.

The arrest came roughly six hours after India falsely claimed successful completion of a surgical strike during the wee hours of Thursday morning which was later refuted by Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, Lt General Asim Saleem Bajwa.

Defence and security analysts have censured Indian government for claiming to coercively operate on Pakistani territory by mobilizing army assets and later stating that the soldier who was arrested had crossed the border “inadvertently.”
