Muzaffarabad: 3 killed as van plunges into Neelum River
At least three people were killed and 4 other sustained injuries when a van fell into Neelum River.
MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – According to details, a van going to Muzaffarabad from 2170 Keel in Azad Kashmir fell into Neelum River when the driver lost control near Nausehri, some 45 kilometres (27 miles) north of Muzaffarabad, on Friday, killing three people and injuring four other, Dunya News reported.
Rescue teams and local residents reached the spot and recovered bodies of dead and injured. Rescue sources said that nine passengers of the ill-fated van are still missing. Two women are among three dead.
Pakistan has one of the world s worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
