Karachi: Water pipeline bursts due to power breakdown in Dhabeji
KSWB official said that the repairing work would take two to three days.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A 72-inch diameter water pipeline burst due to power breakdown in Dhabeji pumping station in Karachi, reported on Saturday.
The pipeline ruptured due to back pressure caused by electricity outage last night. Hundreds of thousands gallons water inundated main National Highway.
Karachi Sewage and Water Board spokesman said that teams have been sent to the site however, the repairing work would take two to three days.
On the other hand, various areas including Landhi, Korangi, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony and Mahmoodabad are facing 58 MGD water scarcity.
