PM announces to inaugurate new Islamabad Airport on August 14 next year

Prime Minister has directed the authorities to link Metro Bus Service with new Islamabad Airport.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday announced to inaugurate new Islamabad Airport on August 14, 2017, reported Dunya News.

A meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister in which he has reviewed issues related to aviation. In the meeting, PM was briefed about different airports in the country.

“I will inaugurate the new Islamabad Airport on August 14 next year”, PM said in the meeting.

“New Islamabad Airport will have modern facilities and it will be an ideal airport”, the premier said. 

Moreover, PM Nawaz directed the authorities to link Metro Bus Service with new airport and to adhere strictly to the international standards in completion of the project.The Prime Minister was told in the meeting that 82% of the work of the new airport has been completed.

The premier was also briefed about the expansion project of Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore.
