Punjab Assembly passes resolution condemning Quetta tragedy
The assembly session also paid rich tribute to late Edhi in a rare display of Govt-Opp unity
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab Assembly on Monday passed the resolution condemning Quetta tragedy and also demanded expediting the action against the culprits and the facilitators of the attack, reported Dunya News.
In a rare display of Government-Opposition unity, the provincial assembly unanimously approved the resolution condemning the Quetta incident and also demanded bringing the elements involved in the attack to the court.
The assembly also paid rich tribute to late Abdul Sattar Edhi for his services to the nation. The session also prayed for Edhi.
The opposition also staged a symbolic walkout from the session terming the murders of assistant lawyer in Ayyan Ali case Nasir Turrabi and political worker Mirza Tanvir Baig.
