Nation needs to learn from mistakes made in past, says Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif stated on Sunday that those who were talking about accountability were themselves immersed in corruption and enquired from his political rivals that was Pakistan created for the purpose so that sit-ins be organised whenever it began to proseper, reported Dunya News.

Punjab CM attended the Independence Day celebrations organised at Hazoori Bagh. While addressing the ceremony, Shehbaz stated that the nation needs to learn from the mistakes made in the past.

He stated that the dreams of the nation could not be fulfilled as a result of extremism, terrorism and issues regarding power shortages. He vowed the commitment that Kashmir shall once again become a part of Pakistan.

At the occasion, Punjab CM also sang national songs along with children. Shehbaz Sharif also paid visit to the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal and wrote comments in the guests’ book.

Later, Shehbaz Sharif met with the crew of the chopper that crashed in Afghanistan. Shehbaz stated that the recovery of the crew members was no short of a miracle. He thanked God for the safe return of the crew members.

Punjab CM said that the crew of the unfortunate helicopter did not lose their resolve in adverse circumstances and enhanced the joy of the Independence Day as a result of returning to the country safe and sound.

Crew of the crashed helicopter thanked Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and related institutions for their efforts regarding their recovery.
