Three terrorists killed, two security personnel injured in Quetta clash
Security forces raided a militant hideout in Hazar Ganji area.
QUETTA (Web Desk) – Three alleged terrorists were killed in encounter with security forces on Sariab Road in Quetta on Saturday morning, Dunya News reported.
A joint operation was conducted by Frontier Corps (FC), anti-terrorism force and intelligence officials on a tip-off regarding presence of terrorists in Hazar Ganji area.
As the security officials raided the suspected hideout, terrorists opened fire and hurled grenades, injuring two security personnel.
In retaliation, three suspected terrorists were killed on the spot.
According to sources, two pistols, a kalashnikov, three mobile phones and two motorcycles were recovered from the militant hideout.
Earlier on Friday, six militants including two key terrorist commanders were arrested last night during a combing operation in Kallar Syedan and Gujar Khan areas of Rawalpindi district.
According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), huge cache of arms and ammunition including prepared improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered during the action.


Combing operations are underway across the country to bust terrorist sleeper cells and eliminate hiding terrorists.
The scope of operations has been expanded after a suicide blast killed more than 70 people, most of them lawyers, at Quetta civil hospital on Monday.
Earlier on Thursday, a roadside bomb apparently targeting a judge injured at least 13 people including four police commandos in Quetta.
The bomb was planted on a bridge in the city, which went off immediately after the vehicle of the Federal Shariat Court judge passed by it.
The judge, Zahoor Shehwani, survived but the blast hit his security escort vehicle, injuring four police personnel and nine passers-by.
