General Raheel Sharif arrives in Egypt on 2-day visit
Pakistan army chief was given warm welcome upon arriving in Cairo on a 2-day official visit
RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday arrived in Egypt on an official 2-day visit. He was given a warm welcome upon arrival in Cairo, reported Dunya News.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of Pakistan army, army chief met Egypt’s Defence Minister and the Egyptian army’s chief of staff. The leaders of the two countries agreed on fighting terrorism together.
Moreover, the discussion between General Raheel Sharif and the Egyptian leaders also featured defence and security discussions and they agreed on mutual training of the armies as well.
According to Pak army spokesperson, Egyptian leaders expressed their willingness to learn from Pakistan about dealing with terrorism and elimination of landmines.
