Model Qandeel Baloch laid to rest in Dera Ghazi Khan
Accused brother has also confessed to have killed Qandeel for honor.
DERA GHAZI KHAN (Dunya News) – Model Qandeel Baloch has been laid to rest in Dera Ghazi Khan after her funeral prayers were offered in Shah Sadar Din area on Sunday.
Qandeel ‘s relatives and residents of the area attended the funeral.
The accused brother Waseem has also been arrested by police who has also confessed to have killed Qandeel for honor.
Waseem said that Qandeel has defamed the name of Balochis due to which he murdered her. He said that he strangled Qandeel to death after giving her sleeping pills.

On the other hand, CPO Multan Azhar Akram said that Qandeel’s parents are not under custody whereas their statement is also vital in the case.
The police officer said that the brother was upset at the "disrespect" Qandeel had caused to the family. Murdered Baloch’s father confirmed the attack by her younger brother in a statement.

Nishtar Hospital sources have also said that the multiple marks of injuries were also present on Qandeel‘s body.
Baloch, believed to be in her twenties, had travelled with her family from the southern port city of Karachi to Muzzafarabad village in central Punjab province for the recent Eid holiday.
