5 including 4 sisters drowned in Daska Canal
Mafia and Sonia were still not found and a search operation was underway in this regard
DASKA (Dunya News) – Five people, including four sisters, on Sunday drowned in Daska Canal while three others have been rescued, reported Dunya News.
Four daughters of Maqbool Ahmad, Mafia (11), Sonia (14) and Kaneez along with her sister Shazia and brother-in-law Naveed visited BRB Canal for a picnic.
Due to sweltering heat, all of them decided to swim in the canal and drowned in no time. Listening to screams nearby, herdsmen ran towards the spot and rescued three of them including Shazia, Naveed and Kaneez.
Latest updates stated that Mafia and Sonia were still not found and a search operation was underway in this regard.
