7 killed in road accidents in Sahiwal, Phalia
Five members of the same family were killed in car, trailer collision at the GT Road in Sahiwal.
SAHIWAL/PHALIA (Dunya News) – At least seven people, including five members of the same family, were killed in road accidents Sahiwal and Phalia on Friday, Dunya News reported.
According to fetails, five members of the same family were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a trailer at the Grand Trunk (GT) Road in Shahiwal.
Three other persons were also wounded in the accident. The ill-fated family was returning from Khanewal to Lahore after engagement of their daughter.
On the other hand, two people were killed and one more was wounded when a speeding dumper ran off the road and crashed into a hotel at the Gujrat-Sargodha Road in Phalia.
Electricity polls also fell due the dumper hit, plunging the entire city into darkness. The driver of the dumper managed to escape from the scene.
