FIA prosecutor's notification of appointment is yet to be issued, ATC told

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Team of the British Scotland Yard will meet with the investigation officer of Dr Imran Farooq murder case, reported Wednesday.

Anti-terrorism court (ATC) heard the case during which Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) prosecutor told that his notification of appointment is yet to be issued.

The hearing was postponed after the court extended judicial remands of the culprits named Khalid Shamim, Moazzam and Mohsin.

While talking to the media, FIA’s prosecutor said that a team of the Scotland Yard will meet with the investigation officer. Further evidence regarding the case would be gathered within one to two days., he said.

Sources privy to the police said that the British team interviewed all the three criminals in jail. The team also reviewed details of their bank accounts.

Forensic experts are likely to present key evidence before the joint investigation team (JIT) in the coming two days.

Dr Imran Farooq, one of the founding members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was stabbed to death in London outside his residence in September 2010.
