PM Nawaz inaugurates development projects in Quetta

QUETTA (Web Desk) - Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated National Health Insurance program and other development projects on a day-long visit in Quetta today (Monday).

On arrival, he was received at the airport by Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and members of the provincial cabinet.

It is said that initially, the program will be launched in Quetta, Loralai, Turbat and Lasbela.

Sources told that three hundred thousand poor patients would avail free medical treatment under this program.

Talking at the ceremony, PM Nawaz said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has made the country free of corruption and crisis.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed the resolve to promote transparent political culture in the country.

He said that work is rapidly underway to ensure early installation of energy-related projects. He said political stability is vital for provision of better health facilities, education, and attracting foreign investment.

Nawaz Sharif also distributed health insurance cards among deserving people of Balochistan.

On the other hand, the projects including supply of gas to Inayatullah Karez Gulistan, Mastung, Kalat and adjoining areas as well as laying of transmission line from Loralai to DG Khan were also inaugurated.

He also performed ground breaking of construction of underpasses on Brewery Road at Golimar Chowk and Zarghoon Road.

He is also scheduled to hold meetings with local representatives and members of provincial assembly to discuss the ongoing political situation.
