PTI's senior leader Asad Umer claims that more than 1 lac people will be participating in ceremony.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will be celebrating its 20 year anniversary today (Sunday) at Islamabad’s F-9 Fatimah Jinnah Park. Enthusiastic and brimming with vigor, party workers and leaders were busy in finalising preparations for the ‘Foundation Day’ ceremony. PTI chairman and founder of the party Imran Khan himself arrived at the park, along with the party’s leadership, and standing on the stage, monitored the preparations.

Khan was briefed on the arrangements by PTI leader and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Asad Umer. A huge crowd of party workers including women also gathered their enthusiasm at its peak upon seeing their leader.

PTI supporters even managed to grab ‘selfies’ with Khan during his visit to the park. Speaking on the occasion, Khan stated that citizens of the Federal Capital have themselves realised that change is coming.

A central stage has been prepared for the occasion while thousands of chairs have been set for PTI supporters and members. However the festive spirit was dampened a bit by strong winds in the evening which disrupted the meticulously prepared set.

Talking to the media, PTI leader Jehangir Khan Tareen stated that the party is trying for the government to agree to their demands, otherwise the decision will be made with protests on roads. He stated that the party will put in all its efforts for propelling the campaign to its logical conclusion.

On the other hand, Islamabad’s F-9 park beauty has been furthered as PTI banners and flags were set throughout the area. A separate enclosure will be provided for women, Parliamentarians and the media.

PTI’s senior leader Asad Umer claims that more than 1 lac people will be participating in the ceremony.

To avoid a stampede situation, a wall of the park has been torn down to make 2 further entry and exit points.

The F-9 sector’s central attraction has always been its park, a sprawling fertile ground laced with the beauty of colorful flowers.

Frequent visitors of the park are, however, concerned that park’s tranquility and beauty will be destroyed by PTI’s rally.

Meanwhile preparations of PTI’s women or ‘tigresses’, as they are dubbed, are in full swing as well.

Spending their time at beauty parlors, the female supporters of the party are getting ready for today’s gathering.

Adorning themselves with bangles representing the PTI’s flag colours, girls have also opted for green and red clothes.
