PM Nawaz, his party not involved in wrongdoings; have nothing to be afraid of says Pervaiz Rasheed

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed while criticising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday stated that Khan at first kept demanding an investigation commission to probe into the Panama Leaks involving the Supreme Court prior to the Prime Minister’s (PM) address but now he himself is running away from it. He further added that PM Nawaz and his party are not involved in wrongdoings and have nothing to be afraid of, reported Dunya News.

While addressing the media, Rasheed said that instead of backing a Pakistani candidate’s election campaign in the United Kingdom, Khan supported Zack Goldsmith. He said that the PM’s name is not mentioned in the Panama Leaks and that Khan is lying habitually. “There is a straw in Imran Khan’s beard. That is why he is afraid of the (investigation) commission”, he said.

Pervaiz Rasheed said that Imran should have the moral courage to state that he opposes Sadiq Khan, adding that the person who does not have this much courage seems odd talking about morality. “(Khan) asks for votes for Goldsmith but does not believe in a Pakistani’s vote. How can he live in Pakistan then?” he inquired.

Rasheed said that Imran Khan does not believe in any law or the constitution of the country and today he even stated of not believing the Supreme Court as well. “The investigation commission has been formed. Its jurisdiction is quite broad. If Imran wants investigation then he should cooperate instead of opposing the commission”, he stated.

Criticising Imran Khan’s education, Pervaiz Rasheed said that Oxford University’s education did not have influence over Khan as he does not believe in the decisions of the Supreme Court and that of the ballot paper, adding that those who study in poor conditions are better than him in this sense.

He said that the article-A of the Terms of References (TORs) of the investigation commission states that the commission has authority to seek support from any tax expert regarding the investigation process, adding that “it seems as if Imran Khan and his lawyer have not read the TORs”.
