LAHORE (Dunya News) – Fake pir brutally tortured a girl in an ‘exorcism attempt’ before absconding from the crime scene after the victim was shifted to a hospital, Dunya News reported Friday.
Near Saggian, an alleged exorcist beat a young girl so that she gets ‘good marriage proposals.’
Reportedly, sister of the victimized girl had brought her to the culprit for ‘spiritual treatment’ as she was not getting marriage proposals.

Bogus pir stated that her sister was under the influence of an evil spirit. The criminal, along with accomplices baton charged the girl until she begged for mercy.
Police have launched a hunt for criminal’s elder brother. The arrested pir termed the episode a propaganda and stated that the girl was abusing his elder brother upon which her sister was asked to take hold of her.
The people present there could not police her and thus they had to resort to forceful methods, he added.
On the other hand, Punjab government promised crackdown against such pirs several times in the past but nothing has been done in this regard.
