LAHORE (Dunya News) – In light of the Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s departure to the UK, Dunya News program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath” revealed that Federal Minister for Finance, Ishaq Dar, will be looking after important government matters in his absence while the PM’s daughter and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz will be assisting Dar.
The program also revealed that these advices had been issued by the PM before his departure to London.
Talking to Dunya News, former Federal Information Minister Anwar Mehmood stated that the constitution does not say anything regarding the acting PM pertaining to the current exceptional circumstances.
It was also revealed that Finance Minister Dar had earlier cancelled his trip to Washington in order to fulfill these responsibilities.
Meanwhile PM Nawaz, while addressing the media outside his residence, stated that he has come to United Kingdom (UK) for a medical checkup. In an answer to a question regarding the hotly debated Panama Leaks issue PM Nawaz stated that nobody will be allowed to stand in the way of progress of the country. He also stated that that he will be able to serve the country with greater passion after the medical examination.
