PML-N leader condemned the Bacha Khan University attack.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Information Minister Pervez Rasheed during ongoing National Assembly (NA) session on Wednesday lamented the attack of terrorists on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.

The minister expressed great grief over the deaths of students and staffers and stated that all the political, security and military entities have to be united for combating the menace of terrorism.

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police, soldiers and special forces launched a ground and air operation at the university in a bid to shut down the assault.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML) leader said that a report having detailed information is being prepared which will be forwarded to the higher authorities for further investigation.

Earlier today, some armed men entered Bacha Khan University in Charsadda district, roughly 50 kilometres (30 miles) from the city of Peshawar, killing more than 15 people and injuring several others, hospital sources told Dunya News.

Although the number of gunmen cannot yet be confirmed, initial reports say four to seven armed men entered the university premises. Several students are still present inside the building.
