Zarb-e-Azb's success to continue, says Army Chief at FATA Youth Festival
Army will never let the nation down: General Raheel Sharif
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Army Chief General Raheel Sharif said that successes in operation Zarb-e-Azb will be carried forward in the future. He said that he is proud to be in the stadium with proud, talented and confident youth of FATA while addressing a crowd at Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar.
Speaking to the crowd at FATA Youth Festival, General Raheel Sharif said that the presence of large number of people in the stadium is admirable and is defeat the enemy forces adding that the success is due to tribal brothers, military, law enforcement and due to sacrifices of people. Army Chief said that the fight against terrorism has been going on for a long time and would continue to do so in the form of success in operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Talking about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), General Raheel Sharif said that this corridor speaks of the achievements of armed forces, nation and brave masses of FATA. He also announced the formation of cricket stadium in Khyber Agency.
He added that in North Waziristan, a modern sports complex will be built soon. Highlighting the abilities of the youth of FATA, General Raheel said that the former have shown their performance in all walks of life and will continue to do so if more opportunities are given. He assured the crowd of Army’s capabilities saying that it will never let the nation down.
