PML-F, PPP clash ahead of LB polls in Sanghar leaves three killed

Supporters of both the parties rallied ahead of the local government polls

SANGHAR (Dunya News) – Clash between Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) ahead of local body (LB) elections claimed three lives, Dunya News reported Wednesday.

The clash left several persons wounded while as many as six vehicles were partially destroyed. Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah took notice of the incident and summoned a report from Sindh Police Inspector General (IG).

Supporters of both the parties rallied ahead of the local government polls. As soon as the rallies reached Rehmani Chowk, enthusiasts entered an argument. The tiff intensified and both the sides opened fire. Firing that continued after regular intervals claimed six lives.

Rangers reached the crime site to counter the tensions. The Chief Minister, on the other hand ordered the law enforcers to ensure peace and control the situation.
